Here’s a Friday thought for you. How do doctors learn about the human necessity of passing gas? I mean, they’ve got to be taught that, right? And if they are, are there video clips? Audio clips?

The reel that keeps running in my head is a classroom of potential doctors watching one of those 1950’s style training films on farting. One of the viewers looks at the other and says something like “I didn’t realize the anus actually opens a little bit for the gas to pass out.” And the other responds, “Abso-dutely-lutley”.

(Because apparently, Ned Flanders was around in the 1950’s)
