Illinois Supreme Court upholds state’s assault-style weapons ban (cnn.com)

That law – which came about six months after the July 2022 Highland Park, Illinois, shooting – faced immediate lawsuits in state and federal court that argued it violated the Illinois and US constitutions.

Imagine being the person arguing for the reinstatement of assault-style rifles and high-capacity magazines. How do you reach a state where you’re ok (if not good) arguing we should put weapons of (let’s face it) war back into the hands of civilians?

Beyond me.
