Political Gabfest: Who Won the Trump-less Debate?

In the Slate Plus segment from the latest “Political Gabfest”, John Dickerson goes off on a rant on calendar invites and how he hates them so. I loved it:

I think your affection for them is because you are a person in a position of power who is often sending out invites to people you are gooning into your meetings. And my view is that an invite that is sent to you that is not a part of a mutual, pre-arranged agreement beforehand is an act of battery. And it’s basically assaulting me and my time by trying o force me into this slot. And there are people who will send you these things without you ever saying “I’m free” or whatever. And those people must be stopped. Also, they should stop texting. Which is what they do all the time. The text is an absolutely sacrosanct form of communication. If it’s not urgent, send it by emai…And this is the penalty of what life is like in this moment of despair.

For what it’s worth, I do think we mix texting and work too much.
