Biden will travel to Michigan to ‘join the picket line’ with UAW workers on strike

President Joe Biden on Friday said he will visit Michigan next week to support strikes by the United Auto Workers. “Tuesday, I’ll go to Michigan to join the picket line and stand in solidarity with the men and women of UAW as they fight for a fair share of the value they helped create,” Biden said in a statement posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

You would think a story like this is what the “heartland” actually wants to be a part of. You would think the empty promises of a “billionaire” trying to “speak for them” would be antithetical to what they say they stand for.

And yet, I can almost guarantee that’s not how this is taken.
