Yesterday was the 30th anniversary of Michael Jordan retiring from basketball (aka the first time). Here’s a question to ponder: Would we consider Michael Jordan to be Michael Jordan had he stayed retired in 1993 and not come back a year and a half later? Would three straight championships have cemented him enough, or did he need to do it again to gain that prestige? Guess we’ll never know.
