“I just want to ask you people who thought it humorous to publicly ridicule him. Are you happy now? What crime did he commit?” Larry DiChiara, a former school superintendent who knew Copeland from when he served on a county school board, wrote in a pointed Facebook post.

He’s not wrong.

It’s sad that we (collectively) can’t seem to recognize that there is a large group of people that still think homosexuals are an abomination and want them to “die off”. It’s NOT a great setting for someone to be outed. I know that’s shocking! (he says dripping with sarcasm)
