Apple may bring Google’s Gemini to its products
What’s in it for Apple? It could help shift investors’ perception that the company is an AI laggard. Tim Cook said last month that the company is “investing significantly” in AI…but Apple’s products are inferior to the leading models, according to Bloomberg.
Am I missing something? Why does this matter? Apple is NOT an AI company. They’ve never claimed to be. No, they don’t have an “AI offering”, but are they supposed to? When did that expectation happen?
The idea that Apple’s products are inferior than the leading models assumes Apple has a product, which they don’t. Just stop.
