Idaho House passes memorial opposing Supreme Court same-sex marriage ruling

Idaho House representatives voted Monday, 46-24, to advance “House Joint Memorial 1.” In it, they write that they reject the U.S. Supreme Court’s 2015 decision in “Obergefell v. Hodges” and demand that it be overturned.

I didn’t realize we were in a time where we could just ignore the Supreme Court altogether. Granted, with all that’s happening right now, I can’t say I’m surprised. Nothing seems to mean anything anymore.

My daughter sent me this link with a “wtf” attached. The good news is it has no legal standing (for now).

It’s important to note this memorial is not a law. What it is, is a way to send a public message about the legislature’s sentiment on this issue — a message that Mistie says is deeply flawed.

Just hateful shitheads being hateful shitheads, and writing a letter stating that they are, in fact, hateful shitheads.
