Instagram post from NYT that reads: “I voted for Donald Trump, and so did practically everyone here. But no one voted to deport moms.

These “oh my stars, I didn’t know” articles are really starting to piss me off. The photo above tries to make this lady look helpless, as if what happened was out of her control in some way. Something she could do nothing about. As if she was the one being put upon.

Give me a fucking break.

I don’t normally read the comments on anything, but I’m glad I did on this one. It heartened me just a little to see some who felt the way I’ve been feeling since the day after the election:

Two comments on the post: “I voted to destroy other people’s lives, not my own” and “The disconnection between the cruelty people support and their accountability when it’s realized is beyond my comprehension.”

I feel no sympathy for this woman. Not one bit.

I do feel sympathy for this Carol person’s kids, as they had nothing to do with what happened. They can’t vote. They have no say in it. And yet, they are the collateral damage in all of this.
