I’ve been re-watching “Glee” with my daughter. And two things said in the 2011 episode entitled “The Purple Piano Project” stood out to me:

• Coach (Sue) Sylvester quips that she tried running for the House of Representatives (and lost) on a platform of deportation.
• She then begins to run on a platform of blaming the arts for the downfall of public education.
