Something I’ve come to learn about myself: I don’t make good and rational arguments in the moment. I get angry and frustrated. I get so frustrated that I paint the opposition with an “ignorant brush” and I can’t get past it. The “why can’t they see how ridiculous their argument is” phase kicks in and I shut down.
