I’m 45 years old and I had never seen the movie “Basic Instinct” all the way through. Finally watched it tonight. First thing that came to mind? There’s so much controversy (most of it is not great, and kudos to Sharon Stone for being so brave and outspoken about the betrayal she felt) around the now infamous crotch shot. And yet, it’s not even close to the most intimate part of that movie. (Obviously, this is from a male viewpoint)

Overall, though, the movie has incredibly intimate and sexy portions. And then there are other parts where it’s a bit cringeworthy.

They don’t make erotic thrillers like this anymore. They should bring it back.
