Am I missing something? If you have to have either a passport or your birth certificate with you as you vote, what is the point of registering to vote?

If this new version of the SAVE Act passes, this will make voting WAY slower. You’re telling me that these local election officials (really volunteers) at the polling places are now responsible for validating forms of identification? Yeah, that’s going to go swimmingly.
